The Tudor Submariner Ref 7021 was the first Tudor Submariner to feature a date window. With its square-shaped hour markers and snowflake-style hands, the Ref 7021/0 was designed inspired by the French Navy. Their divers wanted a timepiece with a dial that was easily readable in low-light/murky water conditions.

More Info
  • The History:

Tudor began to produce watches in 1926, which could be marketed and manufactured as a more affordable timepiece than the Rolex line, while still keeping the same standard of dependability that Rolex had become
known for.   Over the years, the product line grew to include the renowned Oyster Prince and their diver watches, such as the Submariner series.

  • The Watch:

The Tudor Submariner Ref 7021/0 has a 39-mm stainless steel case with a domed plexiglas crystal, a bidirectional rotating bezel with a blue aluminum insert, and an ETA 2484 automatic movement. The blue dial
features tritium lume on the hour markers, snowflake-style hands, and a date window at the three o’clock position.

  • The Details:

This Tudor Submariner Ref 7021/0 dates to the production year 1969 and is keeping good time and functioning correctly.  There is a slight slip during manual winding of the automatic movement, which does not affect the performance of this timepiece.  The hands have been relumed with old stock tritium and color matched to the dial.
