More Info

The History:

The Speedmaster was introduced in 1957 as a sports and racing chronograph, complementing Omega’s position as the official timekeeper for the Olympic Games. Its iconic place in history stems from its utilization by NASA for the Gemini Titan III crews and eventually by the astronauts on the Apollo 11 mission, which made it the first watch to be worn on the moon.

The Watch:

The Speedmaster 175.0032 features a 39-mm stainless steel case with a fixed bezel, a tachymeter scale, and a hesalite crystal. The black dial features classic sub-dials at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, lumed hour markers, and pencil-shaped hour and minute hands. The 175.0032 is powered by an automatic Caliber 1140 movement with a 42-hour power reserve.

The Details:

This Omega Speedmaster Automatic Chronograph Reduced Ref 175.0032 includes the stainless steel Omega 1469 bracelet. Wear is present, which is visible in the photographs and consistent with a timepiece of this age.
