About This Watch:

The Omega Seamaster Professional Diver line has enjoyed a legendary following since 1993. The Seamaster Professional collection has embraced its ocean heritage and continues to showcase the latest in Omega’s innovative design and engineering. The Ref 210.30.42.20.03.001 is a reflection of the fine craftsmanship and technology currently utilized in the Seamaster line, with the use of the Master Chronometer-certified Calibre 8800 Co-Axial movement, which is displayed through the exhibition case back on this timepiece.

The History: The Omega Company was started by Louis Brandt in 1848 in Le Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland. Brandt’s sons would later expand the company and began to manufacture their own parts, including their first mass-produced calibre movement, the Labrador, in 1884. They continued their work and a decade later, made the 19-line OMEGA caliber, which gave the company their name. After the turn of the century, Omega became the official timekeeper for several sporting events, which led to their eventual selection as the single timekeeper of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932.

The Watch: The Seamaster Professional Diver Ref 210.30.42.20.03.001 features a 42mm stainless steel case with a blue ceramic bezel and a white enamel diving scale, a domed sapphire crystal, and an exhibition case back. The dial is also a polished blue ceramic with laser-engraved waves and a date window at the 6 o’clock position. The hour and minute hands are skeletonized and are rhodium plated, as are the raised indexes, which are filled with white SuperLumiNova lume. Powered by the Master Chronometer Certified Co-Axial Calibre 8800 movement, the Seamaster Professional Diver features a 55-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of 1000 feet.

The Details: This Omega Seamaster Professional Diver Ref 210.32.42.20.03.001 shows some minor wear on the case and lugs, which is visible in the photographs.
