One of the most versatile timepieces in the Omega lineup, the Seamaster Aqua Terra 41mm Co-Axial Chronometer celebrates Omega’s rich maritime heritage with details such as the wave-edged design of the case back and the horizontal plank pattern on the dial, inspired by the wooden decks of most luxury sailboats.  Powered by a Co-Axial Chronometer Calibre 8900 movement, the Aqua Terra has a Master Chronometer certification, which is a step beyond what a typical COSC certification requires of a timepiece, making this watch one of the most accurate timepieces produced.

More Info
  • The History:

The Omega Company was started by Louis Brandt in 1848, in Le Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.  Brandt’s sons would later expand the company and began to manufacture their own parts, including their first mass-produced calibre movement, the Labrador, in 1884.  They continued their work, and a decade later, made the 19-line OMEGA caliber, which gave the company their name. After the turn of the century, Omega became the official timekeeper for several sporting events, which led to their eventual selection as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932.

  • The Watch:

The Seamaster Aqua Terra Ref 220.10.41.21.02.001 features a 41mm stainless steel case with a polished, fixed bezel, a sapphire crystal, and an exhibition case back. The white dial features a plank pattern, a 60-minute outer track with orange accents at the four quarter hour markers, arrow-shaped hour markers, an arrow-tipped minute hand, an orange running seconds hand, and a date window at the 6 o’clock position. Powered by an in-house Calibre 8900 Co-Axial movement, the Aqua Terra is a Certified Master Chronometer approved by METAS and resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gausses. The Calibre 8900 features a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series, and automatic winding in both directions. The Aqua Terra has a 60-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 150 meters.
