A proper tool watch designed after the iconic Mark 11 Pilot watch, the IWC Mark XVIII Ref IW327001 Pilot watch was released in 2016. The Mark XVIII was created to handle the extreme environments experienced in flight, with a soft iron inner case around the movement to protect from magnetism and a sapphire crystal secured to protect against drops in pressure.

  • The History:

Founded in 1868 by an American watchmaking pioneer, Florentine Ariosto Jones, the International Watch Company launched in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.  Nestled on the banks of the Rhine River, IWC’s factory
began its pursuit of manufacturing watches of the highest quality, utilizing modern technology and some of Switzerland’s most talented watchmakers.

  • The Watch:

The IWC Mark XVIII Ref IW327001 features a 40mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal.  The black dial features large Arabic numerals, sword-style watch hands, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position.  Powered by the in-house Caliber 30110 automatic movement, the Mark XVIII has a 42-hour power reserve and a water resistance rating of approximately 200 feet.

  • The Details:

This IWC Mark XVIII Ref IW327001 includes the original IWC box, the operating manual, the international warranty booklet, the warranty card, and an IWC stainless steel bracelet.  There are scratches on the AR coating on the crystal of this timepiece, and wear present on the case and bracelet which are visable in the photographs.
