The History:
Founded in 1868 by an American watchmaking pioneer, Florentine Ariosto Jones, the International Watch Company launched in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Nestled on the banks of the Rhine River, IWC’s factory began its pursuit of manufacturing watches of the highest quality, utilizing modern technology and some of Switzerland’s most talented
watchmakers. The Aquatimer was first introduced to the public at the Basel Fair in 1967 as one of the first true dive watches, with the independent setting of internal and external bezels.
The Watch:
The IWC World Time Ref IW326201 features a 45mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal. The black dial features large white Arabic numerals and hour markers, sword-shaped hour and minute hands,
and a date window at the three o’clock position, which shows three dates at a time. An inner rotatable 24-hour ring with markings to indicate day and night is adjusted by pulling the crown into position two, which
also changes the minutes and stops the movement. Moving the crown into position one does not stop the movement and does not affect the 24-hour ring. It is used to adjust the hour and date positions quickly.
Powered by an ETA 2892-A2 movement, modified for IWC with an in-house module for the world time complication, the IW326201 features a 42-hour power reserve and a 50-meter water resistance rating.
