Baume & Mercier was founded in 1830 by Louis-Victor Baume and his brother Pierre-Joseph Celestine Baume near Jura, Switzerland  Beginning with pocketwatches, the brothers quickly built a reputation for quality
watchmaking, and moved their operations to London, a major hub for international expansion.  They began production of high-complication pieces such as chronographs, calendars, tourbillons, and minute
repeaters towards the end of the century, winning multiple awards for their work.

The Baume & Mercier Malibu Chronograph Ref MV045208 features a 38mm stainless steel with a sapphire crystal and a fixed stainless steel bezel with Roman numeral hour marker engravings.  The white textured dial features three sub-dials at the 12, 6, and 9 o’clock positions and a date window at the 3 o’clock position.  Powered by an automatic Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement, the Malibu Chronograph comes on a brown Baume & Mercier alligator leather strap with a stainless steel buckle.
