The Heuer Bundeswehr 1550 SG came into existence as a tool watch for military pilots in West Germany and Italy in the 1960s. It made its way through the years to other service branches due to its clean dial, functionality, and reliability. There are numerous versions of the Bund, with slight variations on the dial, that have been produced over the years.
This Heuer Bund Flyback Chronograph is the 3H/T over 6 version. It has the standard sized Heuer logo beneath the 12 o’clock position, and a small T under the 3H symbol, just above the 6 o’clock position. The case is 42mm stainless steel, and the original military serial number is visible on the case back. The lume for the numerals and hands on the dial are tritium.
This Heuer Bund is in very good condition. The military serial number is visible on the case back, and the model number is visible, etched into the stainless steel case on the side of the watch between the lugs. The bezel is in very good shape, and there are only slight wear marks on the case that are visible in the photos of the watch. The pushers and crown are all working and the watch itself is keeping good time.
